Do I Have To Do This?

Do I Have To Do This?

Some dogs have it and some dogs don’t.

Some dogs are born for agility competitions and some dogs are not. The most obvious candidates for the agility competitions are the Border Collies (they win the most often) and the Pitbulls. The Chinese Crested are not born for this kind of life.

Bear: The Chow

Bear: The Chow

This Chow is named Bear. Not only he looks the part, he’s also fearless.

This is me and him at four feet away, actually it’s me, my camera and Bear. I think that he knows that I’m not a threat, but he’s not going to back down. On the other hand, he was very cooperative. He sat when told, he walked when asked. He didn’t run but according to his owner he almost never runs.

Blurry Photos

Blurry Photos

I spoke to this lady after she took her ‘blurry’ photos. She was very unhappy with her Canon camera and she was talking about switching to Nikon. She was blaming the camera for taking all these blurry photos.

The main problem with her Canon camera was how she was holding her camera and her lens.

Fujifilm cameras and the Auto-ISO

Digital cameras have changed photography. In the “good old days” you bought a film: either black and white, with an ASA (ASA begat DIN which begat ISO) of 125 or of 400 or a color film with a specific sensitivity with an ASA rating of 50 like the Fuji Velvia 50 or Kodachrome 64… And that was it. For the whole roll/film. You could push the sensitivity a little bit by changing the processing but if not the ISO was fixed.

Photographing of the Photographer

Photographing of the Photographer

He’s not taking a photo of his dog. He is taking a small video of me, while I’m making photos of his dog with him in the background.

When I took the photos, I heard him talk on the phone and tell the other person on the phone that there was a guy taking photos of his dog. Then he started making a video of me while I was taking photos of his dog.

Peace on Earth

Peace on Earth

This must be peace on earth, here’s a dog and a postal carrier that like each other.

This dog is guarding a garage where they work on old french cars like the Citroen DS and the Peugeot 504.

Cesar and His Frisbee

Cesar and His Frisbee

Cesar is a playful middle-aged German Shepherd. Cesar always carry his Frisbee. He eagerly approaches anyone who crosses his path in hopes that they will play a game of fetch with him. However, his enthusiasm always goes unfulfilled as he never drops the Frisbee on the ground for the person to throw it.

The problem is that Cesar, a large German Sheppard, doesn’t drop the Frisbee on the ground. We, the strangers, are supposed to take it from his mouth and then throw the Frisbee. Guess how often that happens?

Daffy The Duck

Daffy The Duck

This Doodle is pretty much a genetics experiment. This Doodle is a female and her name is “Daffy The Duck”.

Notice the eyes or more the lack of. Every few days, Josh has to trim the fur around the eyes or “Daffy The Duck” won’t be able to see anything. She’ll trip on everything and crash when crossing the street because she can’t see the end of the sidewalk.

Duffus: the Basset Hound

Duffus: the Basset Hound

I asked for the Basset Hound’s name and she told me that it was Duffus. She didn’t know what it meant, so I told her that in French it wasn’t complimentary. The closest English equivalent to Duffus would be the word ‘Dork’. Calling their dog Duffus wasn’t her choice, but her boyfriend that gave him that name.
