Lisa, the Greyhound
Don’t mess around with Lisa, the Greyhound. She doesn’t look like one, but she can be fierce and extremely selfish. Greyhounds are supposed to be racers. Normally, they live in pens just across the Greyhound racing track.
Lisa, the Greyhound, was born in Tijuana, Mexico, just across from San Diego, California. She was a racing Greyhound until she injured her paw.

She was never a champion or a big winner, but she did have some occasional wins and even came close to winning a few times. After her injury, she was retired and sent across the border to San Diego for adoption. From San Diego she went to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where she spent six months to learn how to live with people. Finally, she moved to Vancouver, BC, where she lives with Lizzy (not to be confused with Lisa the Greyhound) and Eames.
Lisa is neither friendly nor a cuddly dog. She puts up with her humans and she has no interest in other dogs unless they are also Greyhounds. Occasionally, Eames takes Lisa, the Greyhound, to some Greyhound meet‑ups where she becomes a real social butterfly.
But in Edmonton, Alberta, she learned how to couch‑potato. For her, “couch‑potatoing” is her job. She’s become an expert. She does the walks, has her meals, and then it’s back to the couch. The couch is hers. No sharing. Occasionally, actually it’s quite rare, she allows one human to squeeze in on the couch but it’s her couch! Don’t like it? Too bad!
