Dogs

Bowser, a French Bulldog, looks so serious. He reminds of Robert De Niro when he said in Taxi Driver: “You talkin’ to me?” To me, Bowser looks like a gangster in a Black & White movie from the 1940s.

I wonder who was daydreaming. Is it the dogs or the owner? I’m sure that dogs would have liked to play in the sand.

Frankie is an 11 years old “sausage”, aka a Dachshund, with high blood pressure. He’s very unhappy about it. Now in addition to his other pills, he is also on a low-sodium diet.

This was a nice warm and dry February morning. We do have these in Vancouver… This lady was walking her dog, one last time, before going to work.

I did this photo at the Vancouver Dragon Boat Races. Cookie, the Basenji, is not too interested in watching the Dragon Boat races. As long as she is on the shoulders of her owner, she’s happy.

Iggy is the common name for the I.G, aka the Italian Greyhound. Iggies look cute, they are small, skinny with huge bulging eyes on top of a sleek pointed nose.

This Border Collie is running back with his kill ball. He runs back, but not too fast. I didn’t ask for her name. The owner was busy throwing the ball and talking with another lady, so I didn’t interrupt.

Pip (or is it Peep, I should have asked how Pip/Peep is spelled) is a Border Collie with only 3 legs. About a year ago, he had surgery to amputate his front left leg.

She just got him, yesterday, as a present. She was going through a very difficult patch in her life, so her partner bought her this 3 to 4 weeks old pitbull.

Kallie was already an older Pit Bull when she was rescued from a shelter. She is very polite. She does not provoke people nor dogs.
