The Rebellion of a Scottie

Another Scottie at Ambleside Park by the seashore. The rocks in the background are the edge of the shore, literally, the seashore. The Ambleside Beach is further down the path. The dog wasn’t listening to her owner, a short lady with a high pitched voice. She was screaming for Ettie (I think that was the dog’s name) to come back and not go onto the pathway.

Dogs have excellent hearing, but that doesn’t mean that they pay attention. Ettie wasn’t listening to her owner. She saw something or some other dog that she wanted to catch. Scotties are stubborn, they are supposed to be stubborn to stay fixated on their “prey”.

You can argue with dogs that are:

  1. stubborn
  2. on a mission to catch or get something
  3. not properly trained to listen to your commands/directions
  4. dogs. Dogs do not understand reason, they only understand either a Yes or a No

Ettie’s owner was walking fast and trying to get Ettie to come back at the same time, without much effect I will say. Eventually Ettie jumped on the rocks, then I lost track because I had to look after my own dog who was also off-leash and going to sniff other dogs.
