Granville Island: The Patience's Test
On a Friday morning, I was walking around the Granville Island market and I came across this scruffy dog attached to the railing by the entrance of the market.

Anybody walking out and she would lift her head to look for who was walking out. Perhaps her owner? A quick look and she was lowering her head back to the ground. I wonder how she could see with all these hairs obscuring her eyes. She was quiet. I came back half an hour later and she was still waiting.
I had to make my best Daffy Duck voice impression to get her to look at me.
I’m surprised nobody took her. According to Stanley Coren, there are more dogs stolen than bicycles. And the list of most stolen breeds reads like a who’s who of the designer dogs such as Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Maltese, Boston Terriers, and French Bulldogs. Most are stolen as puppies or young dogs, then people resell them.
BTW, My dog is so ‘cute’ that I’ve had people wanting to buy him. One person, a woman, even offered $800 for him. During one of my walk with my dog, another woman came running after me and said:
I love your dog. I love your dog so much, that you have to give it to me.
I was shocked and shook my head and kept on walking. I saw the same woman on the next day, then she asked me if at least I could let her walk my dog… Really?
