Charlie: The Bernese Mountain Bulldozer
Charlie, the swiss mountain dog, is only a year old and he’s already 75lbs or almost 35kg. He’s not going to grow up in height but he’s gaining bulk every week. George, his owner, thinks that Charlie will end up being around 120lbs or around 55kg. Imagine a playful Charlie running full speed toward you to play with you! That’s not a dog, it’s an incoming bulldozer, watch out.

George and his wife, Lisa already had a cat long before getting Charlie. Their cat is an older cat, Tuna, because she always meow whenever they open a can in the hope that it’s tuna. She’s in her older teens years (they are not sure, they just found her and she staid.) Tuna puts up with Charlie. Charlie’s not mean, he just wants to play but having an incoming bulldozer running at Tuna… A couple times, Tuna had to put Charlie back in his place because he was too rough even for Tuna.
Charlie is a big dog and he’s still eating the high protein puppy food, 5 full cups of kibbles plus some ham to make the kibbles palatable. Charlie is not a clean, dainty eater, there’s always a mess. With Charlie is a full burst of energy, then it’s time to go for a sleep to recharge the battery then rinse and repeat…
Now, walking with Charlie is an absolute joy and for most of the times he will walk along as long as the leash is kept short. If Charlie gets the full length of the leash, he will go and greet everybody and every dog.
