Worried Cat

This cat is worried. Should he run away or not?

He has the ears backwards like he was getting ready to attack. Why, because behind me, there’s a dog, it’s my dog. He’s not threatening, he’s behind me and he’s totally quiet.

This cat is not attacking and I know it. Why? Because of his eyes.

The difference between the attack mode and the worry mode is in the eyes. Cats before attacking will open their eyes fully wide open, just like saucers.

The situation got resolved when he heard a woodpecker on the electric pole that was just behind him and he went to investigate the woodpecker.

It’s not a good idea to let cats roam outside. There are a lot of missing cat signs in my neighborhood. There are quite a few coyotes around and not just at night during the day to. I saw one coyote walking on my street at noon, in the middle of the day.

The cat of a neighbor had to be taken to the vet for talon injuries on his back. Eagles, snowy owls, falcons… They don’t know which one tried to take him as dinner, but he managed to escape.
