Bear: The Chow
This Chow is named Bear. Not only he looks the part, he’s also fearless.
This is me and him at four feet away, actually it’s me, my camera and Bear. I think that he knows that I’m not a threat, but he’s not going to back down. On the other hand, he was very cooperative. He sat when told, he walked when asked. He didn’t run but according to his owner he almost never runs.
It’s very rare that a dog will stare straight into the camera and hold the stare. This has happened to me only a few times over all the years and it’s almost always been with Chows.
- The dog is very confident.
- The dog is daring “the camera” for a fight.
I have had many dogs look into the camera. I almost always manage in getting the dog to look at the camera but holding the stare is completely different thing.
BTW, You can even see my reflection in Bear’s eyes.
