JR: The Jack Russell
JR is a standard Jack Russell named JR. Almost all Jack Russells are the same size and the same white body with the very similar black patches. JR stands for Jack Russell.
These days, JR is not a happy camper. JR used to be a star on the streets of the Vancouver Downtown Eastside. Almost everybody on the Vancouver Downtown Eastside would know him. People would give him treats and he would do some tricks.
Most often, he would run up walls and do the flip. Somehow he always managed to land on his feet. JR was so popular that he’s been included in a few murals on the Downtown Eastside. He’s never been on a leash and he hate them.
But, like so many of us, he’s becoming old and he seems to forget. He forgets where he is, where he’s going… Not too long ago, he got lost and it took 3 days to find him back. Now, JR has to wear a leash at all times when he’s outside. He’s not a happy camper…
