Not only I want to know what I have, I also want to know what I am missing. Often, to me, what I’m missing is at least as important than what I already have. It often means that I have not finished processing my photos.

Adobe has implemented the Smart Collections in Lightroom. The Smart Collections are dynamic collections depending the photo metadata and/or attributes. Dynamic/smart collections are created dynamically by the selection criteria alone. You can’t move photos into that collection. The problem is that many of the filters does not implement the is empty, so I use my filter does not contain any of the alphabet.

Lightroom: Empty Smart Collection

Lightroom: Empty Smart Collection

So this shows smart collection has a list of all the photos where either: Country, City, State or the location is empty. As you can see from the screen capture, I have a lot, 5062 of them. So it’s definitely not finished.

If you use a different alphabet such as Chinese, Scandinavian… you can change the alphabet.

The a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r,s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z means any of the following letters.
