I am reorganizing my keywords in the WIP, Work In Progress, catalog. I need to delete 1394 keywords. Deleting over a thousand keywords. one at a time? Very, very, very painful! Too painful.

- Delete all the keywords from all the photos.
- Purge unused keywords.

- Select all the photos.
- In the right panel:
Keywording, select all the keywords and delete them.

Delete all the keywords from all the photos can be a very, very long operation. depending on the number of photos in your catalog. It took me a full 20 minutes to delete all the keywords in 11000 photos on a slower computer.
All the keywords become unused.
Purge the unused keywords
From the Metadata menu, Purge unused keywords
Lightroom: Purge all unused keywords
Done! All the keywords have been deleted in just 2 steps.
