When using the single focus point, I often have to change the size of the focus area. Fuji has some quick way of bypassing the menus which is:

AF/MF SETTING > FOCUS AREA

Instead of that you can (my preferred method)

Single Point AF

  1. Press the joystick in.
  2. Use the rear dial to select the size of the focusing area/frame.
  3. Press MENU/OK to enable the new setting.

Zone AF

  1. Press the joystick in.
  2. Use the rear dial to select the size of the focusing area/frame. Moving the rear dial will cycle between the 3x3 size to the 7x7 size for the zone AF.
  3. Press MENU/OK to enable the new setting.

Tracking in AF-C

  1. Press the joystick in.
  2. Use the joystick to position the initial starting point for the AF-C focusing.
  3. Press MENU/OK to enable the new setting.

And the camera will track the focusing with the subject on that initial point while the shutter is half pressed down.
