Fujifilm X-PRO2: How to Reset the AF Position

This is only for the almost current batch of Fujifilm cameras:

  • The X-100F
  • The X-T2
  • The X-PRO2

The X-T20 and the X-E3 use the touch screen with the zooming and the pinching.

On my X-PRO2, I most often use the AF Zone and I control the position of the zone with the joystick. About half of the time, my AF Zone is not in the middle, but I prefer to start from the center. So here’s my tip…

Push-in the joystick twice will re-position the AF box to the center
Use the rear command dial wheel to set the size of AF box. That’s for single point AF and zone AF.

Moving the focusing with the joystick make the focus box roll over when at the edge.

If you reach the top with the box and issue one more nudge up of the joystick then in goes to the bottom. Same for left and right.
