Fujifilm X-PRO2: Battery Status

category: Cameras • 1 min read

Fuji uses the Li-ion battery NP-W126 for the X-PRO2 (like the X-T1 and the X-T10) and the Li-ion battery NP-W126S for the X-T2/X-T20. The main difference between the 2 models of the battery is one of the chemical component is slightly different and doesn’t heat as much especially during the 4K video recording.

Fuji has an almost quick way of checking the percentage of the power left in your battery.

In the play mode

  • Switch Press the ‘DISP/BACK’ button until you are in the thumbnail view.
  • The camera will show the percentage of power left in the battery at the top right corner.

In regular mode/viewfinder

  • The camera shows the outline if a 3 bars battery at the top right of the viewfinder.
  • It doesn’t show the actual percentage, it’s only an estimate. These estimates have improved in accuracy with the X-PRO2 and the X-T2.
