Fujifilm X-PRO2: The Battery Charger
category: Cameras • 1 min read
Fujifilm uses the NP-W126 Li-ion battery for most of its X serie cameras, and like all camera manufacturers they provide a battery charger the BC-W126.
It charges the NP-W126 in about 2½ hours. It’s a good charger, kind of, that does a reliable charge. Works every time. I like it except for the plug-in cord.
What’s with that plug-in cord? It’s bigger than the charger and it doesn’t fold nicely and it’s not compact like it should. There is some plug (without a cord) available in the US at Amazon that can replace the cord but it doesn’t fold.
The battery charger has 1 LED for its status indicator

- Never leave the battery in the charger for long period of time after the battery is fully charged. What is a long period of time? Usually, it means days, weeks and months.
- Unplug the charger when it is not in use.
- Fuji recommends charging the battery one or two days before use.
- Charging times increase at both low and high temperatures.
