He was just walking by. There is some pitbull in him so many people were afraid of him. He was so calm and relaxed…

This pitbull is almost all black, except for the couple of white spots.

It’s very difficult to photograph black dogs. By definition a black dog is black. Black is not a colour, black is a lack of colour. This means, that there are almost no details in the black, it becomes a blob.

There are two secrets:

1. Contrast the black against some other lighter colour.
2. Cheat in the processing, because the black is not a 100% black, in this dog it’s only a 85% black, which means that I can open the shadows and recover some details in the black.
