Peace in Vancouver, BC

Her name is ‘Peace’. She’s a 3 or 4 years old and she deserves her name. Her owners first gave her that name because she’s nice and pleasant, then they found the name tag to match.

The stare: she looked at me for a good 20 seconds, straight, but at no point in time, there was any sign of aggression.

She’s trying to figure out what’s happening? Why is a guy (me), with a dog behind him, on the ground with this big thing (the camera) in front of my face? What are the noises (the shutter) coming from him?

She wears a Martingale collar. They were designed for Whippets and Greyhounds. The Whippets and Greyhounds’ necks are larger than their heads so they can easily slip out of ‘regular’ buckle collars. The Martingale collars are very good collars and that’s also what I use for my dog. He doesn’t have to wear it when we are in the house.

Look at how white her teeth are and her owners don’t even bother brushing her teeth.
