No Dog Parking: Whistler, BC

This ‘No Dog Parking’ sign is just in front of a very popular eatery in Whistler, BC.

Many people go in the eatery and leave their dog outside.

People don’t go in just for a couple of minutes and pickup some take out. People go in the eatery, have lunch or dinner for one hour or two. I was at that eatery late last month and service was so slow that it took over an hour to get our food. When we were finished and wanted to leave so somebody could have our table, it took another 20 minutes to get the bill.

In spite of the ‘No Dog Parking’ sign, people still leave dogs attached to the railing.

What an expression: ‘dog parking’. That’s not what I would use and I’m sure that the dogs do not feel that way either… It’s not uncommon to have more than one dog left over there by the sign and the dogs will bark or howl.
