9 Weeks Old Frenchie: Vancouver, BC
Frenchie is the nickname for the French Bulldogs.
Henry was 9 weeks old when I took this photo. This was just a couple of days before his right ear started to stand up. He was only 8 to 9 pounds (about 4 kg) at the time. A year and half later, he is almost 40 pounds (about 18 kg). He has only doubled in size but he has ‘bulked up’.
Did you know that Toulouse-Lautrec, famous for his paintings of the Paris nightlife of the late nineteen century, painted a French Bulldog named Bouboule in several of his paintings? He even did some charcoal drawings of him. Bouboule was owned by Madame Palmyre, the owner of “La Souris”, a famous restaurant at the time.
