Hard Working Frenchie: Vancouver, BC

Here’s another hard working Frenchie. In the doggy world, a Frenchie is a French Bulldog. Like most Friend Bulldogs, the “go crazy” until they are completely exhausted and need to sleep to recharge “the battery.”

Late last year, I was talking with the owner of another French Bulldog. The Frienchie’s owner was going on about her dog this, her dog that. I’m was surprised that her dog didn’t a degree for Harvard, Princeton or Berkeley…

I started talking to her French Bulldog in French. She (the dog) didn’t understand a word of what I was saying in French. She only gave me a puzzled look. Then I solemnly declared that her dog wasn’t a real Frenchie. She went on telling me that: ‘Yes, her dog was a “real” French Bulldog, she even had the official papers…

She didn’t understand the joke!
