I asked for the basset hound’s name and she told me that it was Dufus. She didn’t know what it meant, so I told her that in French it wasn’t complimentary. The closest English equivalent would be ‘dork’. It wasn’t her, but her boyfriend that gave him that name.
Dufus and I had a long conversation. He was very helpful. Now I can see where my dog’s very thick and sturdy legs came from. His nose and his muzzle too. Dodoïte is half basset hound, half Australian Shepherd, and half Corgi.
