Waiting for the Rain: Vancouver, BC
Vancouver is on the edge of the Pacific, and the home of what’s left of last tempered rain forest in North America.
And the keyword is: Rain. We get the rain from the mountains and from the North. We get the rain from the Pacific, eight thousand kilometers to pickup moisture and then it falls on us because of the mountains. And then we also get the Pineapple Express which is warm rain from Hawaii… And since the climate change, the Pineapple Express has been replaced by ‘Atmospheric River’ which is far more ignominious.
Lily is 7 years old. Marcy, her owner, always put on the yellow rain coat on Lily if there’s any possibility of rain. It’s not for Lily but it’s for Marcy. Without the raincoat, it would take a long time to dry Lily.
Lily is very well behaved dog and she doesn’t take any treats outside of her house. When we did the photos in her house, she eagerly took my biscuits, but outside, That’s another story…
