Happy Dog: Vancouver, BC

Here’s a happy dog:

1. Eyes with their normal shape
2. Mouth partially opened and not tensed
3. Relaxed ears, not on alert
4. Raised head but not tensed
5. Relaxed tail
6. Relaxed body

This is my dog, Dodoïte (pronounced: Dodo ïte) in his good days. Some days he’s happy and relaxed, some days he’s not. It has a lot to do with the weather and the time of the year. Rain depresses him. Snow makes him happy. Forest and mountains are his favourites. City with trucks, cars… are not.

Look at these big brown eyes, they even sparkle with the light.

I didn’t get him for his good look. Somebody emailed us a photo of him and my wife and I were discussing if there was one or two dogs in the photo. That’s how bad the photo was. I took him, because I trust Kathe’s recommendation. I’ve know Kathe for about 20 years.
