Same Image?

Will these 3 photographers have the same images? Two of these photographers are taking images at 400mm. The Nikon guy uses a 70-200mm and the TC2x. The Canon guy uses a 100-400mm. The only guy that is slightly different is the guy at the back with a 500mm and the Better Beamer on his flash.

They have the same position, the same height and the almost same lenses. I’m always interested in the periphery. What are the other photographers not seeing or not doing?

A couple of years ago, I read of Google study (sorry but I can’t find the link right now) that analyzed the billionS of photos that Google has indexed and is storing on their own servers. They found that:

  • 99+% of the photos were done in colour.
  • 95+% of the photos were done at a standard height of around 5ft or 1.5m
  • 93% of the photos were done in landscape format
  • 84% of the photos were taken with a smartphone
  • 79+% of the photos were selfies

So back to our trio, what are they trying to photograph, you ask? They are trying to get photos of Sandhill Cranes at Reifel Bird Sanctuary.
