Another Twist on Canon vs Nikon
category: Cameras • 2 min read
I came from Pentax, ditched my complete Pentax system and switched to Canon. 2½ years later, I’m still rebuilding my system. It’s amazing all the little things/accessories that one accumulates over the years. Luckily, I didn’t switch to Nikon! It turns out that all Nikon photographers are incompetents! Looks like Joe McNally, Tim Page, Hernst Haas, Steve Curry … don’t know what they are doing.
A photographer is only as good as the equipment he uses, and a good lens is essential to taking good pictures.

- Good photos have nothing to do with the subject, the framing, the light… even some times with the photographer. It’s all irrelevant. The camera is the most important.
- What about women? It looks that, for Nikon, they either do not count or can’t make photos.
Update from Nikon’s Facebook page:
We know some of you took offence to the last post, and we apologize, as it was not our aim to insult any of our friends. Our statement was meant to be interpreted that the right equipment can help you capture amazing images. We appreciate the passion you have for photography and your gear, and know that a great picture is possible anytime and anywhere.

“and know that a great picture is possible anytime and anywhere” but notice that they never say that you can make a great photo with any photographic equipment.
Luckily for us, we have Canon, Leica, Olympus… for allowing Henri Cartier-Bresson, Art Wolfe, Joel Meyerowitz… to make great photographs with any camera and any lens.
Dumb! It’s always a good idea to insult and belittle your customers, especially when you are trying to promote your own products. This may become a classic in the “how to show respect for your customers that have supported you over the years.”
