Canon 7D: Focusing Modes

The Canon 7D has 6 different focusing modes:

  1. AF point expansion
  2. Face recognition
  3. Full 19 point AF
  4. Single point AF
  5. Spot AF
  6. Zone AF

By default, you can only select 3:

  1. Full 19 point AF
  2. Single point AF
  3. Zone AF

You must enable:

  1. AF point expansion
  2. Spot AF

in the C.Fn III -6 Select AF Area Selection Mode.

So where’s the face recognition? In the Live View mode only.
